Since 2001, Jim Lane has advised 90 companies on $1.1 billion in acquisitions, divestitures, assets under management, capital raises, revenue forecasts and corporate formations.

Jim's focus is in bioenergy, media and real estate, and especially emerging technologies and markets. He is Chairman of the American Biofuels Council, a committee member in the Sierra Club and the Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels.

He is editor and publisher of Biofuels Digest, the world's most widely-read biofuels daily, read by 16,000 people each day at 4,000 organizations in 199 countries.

From 1986 to 2001, Jim was a media executive at Harper’s, Links, JSA Publishing, Petersen, and Reed Elsevier, where he held P&L responsibility for magazines, directories and online services in the US, Europe, Latin America and Asia. JSA reached the Inc. 500 during his service as COO. He earned an Honors BA from the University of Washington.

He is author of eight books, most recently Anchoring America: The Changing Face of Network News, is a director of real estate developer LCW and owns the Ascension Publishing family of online brands.
